MP’s latest Annual Report published
Harrogate and Knaresborough MP, Andrew Jones, has published his latest Annual Report. Before first being elected for the seat in 2010, Mr Jones promised that he would publish a report every year that detailed his activities in the previous year including his expenses claims. This is the seventh such report which is delivered to every house in the district by a team of volunteers. The report is paid for through local fund raising and not from the public purse.
Mr Jones said: “It is important that MPs stay in touch with constituents and I do this through regular newspapers and newsletters, door-to-door visits, my website and emails and through this Annual Report. I hope residents find it interesting and useful.”
This year’s report details just some of the MP’s activity supporting local charities, businesses, schools and individuals. It also gives information on how members of the public can see the history of Parliament firsthand through free guided tours of the Palace of Westminster.
