Harrogate Memory Walk
Andrew Jones MP is calling on local people to walk for a world without dementia as a part of Alzheimer’s Society’s biggest annual fundraising event. The event is being run in conjunction with Harrogate Borough Council who are committed to providing dementia-friendly training for all staff and councillors. All members of Andrew Jones MP’s team are dementia-friendly trained. The walk will take place at 2pm on Saturday 10 September 2016.
It comprises two laps of a 0.8 mile route around Valley Gardens with the aim of raising at least £5,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. If you are unable to take part in the walk please still donate for a good cause.
Money raised from this walk will help fund research to find a cure for dementia as well as funding services for people living with the disease.
